If you are looking for someone to support your spending on the ground in Malawi this is what we can offer:

1. A small group of long serving volunteers who are based in or near Blantyre each of whom have been with Nchima for many years and who have grown with us. They know all of our beneficiaries and the establishments that they attend including those in Finance Departments along with those responsible for pastoral care. Our team checks that all beneficiaries continue to attend their schools. colleges and universities at least once a term. They will also administer laptops, allowances and provision of groceries and toiletries to the school pupils. Finally they assess each beneficiary prior to funding to ensure that each one meets our criteria. For tertiary students this includes a questionnaire and a contract if the beneficiary is successful.

2. Banking - we operate sterling (GBP) and Malawi (MKW) bank accounts in Malawi and have a very good relationship with our bank. We try to pay as much as we can with online banking so that there is a solid audit trail.

3. As above the attendance of all students is 'validated'. A comprehensive list of beneficiaries is maintained for each establishment so that we always know who is where. All students are managed through Salesforce and all payments made through Sage. Access to Salesforce is possible along with a library of reports and customisations to suit your needs as necessary.

4. Financial Management - you will receive access to both historic and future (budgets/forecasts) financial reports allowing you to manage your resources adequately.

5. All pupils are asked if we can use photos and quotes a s necessary for fund raising and publicity purposes.

6. Our team will always welcome visitors to Malawi and arrange meetings with beneficiaries provided sufficient notice is given
