Two years ago the Sonjeka village, which is on the border with Mozambique, was washed away admist heavy flooding. It was agreed after the flood that a borehole was needed, to provide a supply of clean water and to save having to carry water from the river.

And now two years later, the borehole has been constructed and is in full working order.

There was much rejoicing at it’s informal inauguration and the benefits are already evident, with the harvest now better than anyone expected!
